Character Tribute Program

Disclaimer: Due to Federal copyright restrictions, Fun Times does not have the actual characters that you see in print or on the screen. Instead, we use top-level professional costumes to do tribute to those characters to enhance the theme of your party. We do these character tributes free of charge with our regular paid programs. Although we may look and act like your character choice, we are actually only professional entertainers not have the real, actual, copyrighted characters.

The Program
What to Expect From the Performer:
Performer arrives at your party. Costume will be concealed upon arrival. You will need to provide a clean, safe, and private place for them to change into costume. (No rest rooms please) – If this is not possible we must know ahead of time as to make other arrangements. The Character will start the party and will do approximately a 15 to 20 minute sing along program where they will march, dance, and sing easily recognized children’s songs to music, such as “If You’re Happy and You Know It”, Hokey Pokey, etc. A great feature of our program is that unlike Theme Parks the characters actually talk to the children! All the children will be participating at once. At the end of the Sing-Along Program you may take pictures with your camera with the children and the character together. The performer in the costume then goes into another room; changes completely out of the character costume and into brightly colored entertainer attire. Changing will take approximately 7 minutes. During this time you will have the children play a game of “Hot Potato” where we will supply the winner’s prize and items to do the game.

When the entertainer comes back into the party room (while playing back ground music on a music box and supplying a coloring contest to keep everyone occupied) the entertainer can perform the following items: balloon sculptures (crazy hats, hearts, animals, and swords), face painting (cheek or hand art – not full face which sounds great on paper but doesn’t look all that good on your furniture), temporary tattoos. If the majority of children are age 4 and above you ask about adding a magic show to this program.
To help you determine how long you will need for us to entertain at your party the following is a realistic guide:

  • Character sing-along program with pictures at the end but no entertainer 25 minutes
  • Character program and to change to a performer: 30 minutes
  • Face painting: 2 and 1/2 minutes per child
  • Balloon sculptures: 2 minutes per child
  • Temporary tattoos: 1 minute per child
  • Magic show 15 to 20 minutes

Variations of the Standard Program:
Character Appearance Only (no sing-along program)
The Character to make a 5 to 10 minute appearance at the party to greet the “Guest of Honor” allow picture taking, then help sing Happy Birthday.

Variation of Sing-Along Program: If children are too old to enjoy the sing-along program the character can make an appearance where they just talk and play with the children and you can take pictures with your own camera.

Super Hero Tributes
Batman, Spiderman, Power Ranger, Ninja Turtle, Iron Man
Performer arrives at your party in costume. The Super Hero Character will start the party with an appearance where they meet your guests and acknowledge “The Guest of Honor”. You may take pictures at any point. The Character will then either play with your children (as the character) or do an audience participation karate type demonstration. The program lasts 60 minutes.

Add an Entertainer to your Super hero party
Dressed in brightly colored attire the entertainer comes with the Super Hero Character. While the Super Hero is entertaining this entertainer can perform the following items: balloon sculptures (crazy hats, hearts, animals, and swords), face painting (cheek or hand art), temporary tattoos. If the majority of children are age 4 and above you can include a magic show.

Note: All price quotes are within a 30 mile radius of 5212 Old Wake Forest Rd Raleigh NC 27609 using Map Quest as a guide. Further distances will have a travel charge of a one way fee.  All travel charges apply to one way only.
